Curating a Gatsby-Inspired Evening for the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards

Brief:

To design and curate a memorable event for The Yorkshire Children of Courage a 2024.

Response:

We delivered a comprehensive event management and PR package for the 2024 Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards at New Dock Hall, attended by over 600 guests. PGHL handled every aspect of event management, from initial concept to final execution. We proposed a Gatsby-inspired theme, complete with entertainment elements strategically placed throughout the evening to keep guests engaged. PGHL managed all production including the design of all visuals, and audio-visual setups, coordinating the themed venue decor, booking and coordinating with the venue and all entertainment elements. On the night of the event, we managed every detail to ensure a seamless experience.

Additionally, we executed a targeted PR and influencer campaign to promote the event, which achieved significant TV exposure. Working closely with the charity's committee, we also secured sponsorships and raffle prizes, ultimately helping raise over £100,000 on the night.

Results:

Sell-out event: Achieved a complete sell-out for the event, exceeding expectations in terms of attendance and engagement, creating a highly energetic and successful atmosphere.
Record-breaking amount raised: Set a new fundraising record, raising the highest amount to date.
Secured 27 pieces of media coverage across various platforms, significantly boosting visibility and awareness of the event.
Gained extensive media exposure, with highlights on local TV channels, prominent online platforms, and leading print publications.
